How are total rounds bets settled in boxing/MMA? Total rounds are often quoted with a line of 0.5, which refers to halfway through the specified round. For example, under 4.5 would be any time up to and including the halfway point of the fifth round. So over 4.5 would be any time after that. In a standard three-minute round in boxing, the halfway point is one minute and 30 seconds. MMA bouts are usually scheduled for three or five rounds of five minutes. Although the rounds are longer than in boxing, the 0.5 concept of the halfway point in the round is the same. For example, if you bet on over 2.5 rounds within a five-round fight and a fighter won in the third round with 20 seconds to spare, your bet would be a winner. If a fighter fails to emerge from their corner for the start of any round, the fight is deemed to have ended in the previous one. If you need assistance, please click here to see our contact details.
